Ram Jam: Transfer McKenna Hofschild Making Major Impact

One major boost aiding the Rams strong run this season has been Seton Hall transfer guard McKenna Hofschild — who has emerged as a serious contender to win Mountain West Newcomer of the Year
The sophomore is second on the team with 14.1 points per game through Feb. 16 statistics. She's also second on the Rams in 3-pointers with 24.
Hofschild came up clutch with a key 3-pointer in a tight win over Wyoming. She was also named Mountain West Player of the Week after scoring 44 points, making 10 assists and grabbing six rebounds in a series split with UNLV.
Hofschild, a Minnesota native, came to CSU via Seton Hall. As a freshman at the New Jersey university part of the Big East Conference, she averaged 2.1 points and 0.6 assists in 8.4 minutes per game. The Pirates went 19-12 during her lone season at the school.
Once in the transfer portal, her old AAU coach recommended connecting with the Rams coaching staff.
