It's good to see businesses being able to survive, let alone upgrade, during the ongoing pandemic. Soon a popular restaurant on 4th Street will have a new look.

Having grown up in Loveland, I've seen the trials and tribulations of businesses along 4th Street in Downtown over the years.

One of the success stories of Downtown Loveland is Pour House Bar & Grill. Pour House opened in 2009, taking over the spot that used to house an Italian restaurant for years, Cipoletti's. In fact, the revolving front door of Cipoletti's still remains.

Pour House is currently renovating the front of their building. When finished, the new features will include an all-brick façade and a sit-at bar that looks into the restaurant, which will replace the two front windows.

Though a few places in Fort Collins and The Hearth in Windsor have such a feature, I don't think any Loveland businesses have done that yet.

One item I'd love to see Pour House bring back is what I call 'The Sinatra Room,' a leftover from Cipoletti's. It was a space downstairs that held just one big table, like where the 'Chairman of the Board' Frank Sinatra might hold court. That room now holds the kegs for the bar (which is certainly more important).

With the renovations, the revolving door will stay put, so to speak. Pour House's new look should be in place by the spring of 2021.
