I used to hate coffee, but when I tried my first pumpkin spice latte in 2014, I sent myself into an endless spiral of debt and over-caffeination everything changed.

My love for coffee began to flourish, and I now look forward to pumpkin spice each fall.

Well, fall is officially here now, baby. October has started and I am ready to let my white girl flag fly. So, in order to have an excuse to buy coffee for work help the greater good of humanity, I have decided to review pumpkin spice products all October long.

First up: the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.

This drink can be created by anyone, but it was officially invented by Starbucks, so that's the one I decided to try.

The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew (PCCB) is similar to the coffee chain's other cold brews, particularly the Vanilla Sweet Cream.

Like its cousin, the PCCB is sweetened with vanilla syrup. The difference lies in the topping. This drink is covered in a creamy orange pumpkin cream cold foam, with pumpkin spices sprinkled on top.

The drink looks nice, but isn't much different in appearance than any other latte, so I wouldn't waste too much time trying to Instagram this one.

The taste, however, is far from average. The pumpkin foam is honestly one of my favorite things I've ever tasted. It's creamy, sweet, and chock full of pumpkin flavor, without being too much.

If you're a sugar addict like me, however, I recommend asking for a straw (sorry, Earth) to stir the drink. The drink comes with a sippy-cup-like lid to easily drink the foam. But if I didn't stir it, the bottom of the drink was too strong for me.

This drink would be a great choice for iced coffee fans who want to get in on the fall fun but don't like the traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte (the iced version of that sucks, in my opinion).

The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is definitely a nice cool drink to kick off fall, especially since it's still fairly warm here in Northern Colorado. Stop by next week for another Pumpkin Spice PSA.
