Your Guide to CSU’s Homecoming Weekend
Once a Ram, always a Ram — and there's no better way to honor that than by attending Colorado State University's homecoming weekend.
CSU's Homecoming and Family Weekend is coming up this week (October 2-October 6), and this year's event will be different than ever before.
According to the University website, CSU will be celebrating its 150th anniversary with a "fun and memorable lineup of festivities honoring our past, present, and future."
Homecoming will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, at XGolf Fort Collins, the indoor golfing center in Foothills Mall. $10 will get you dinner, one drink, and access to their virtual golf bay. Added bonus: Old Aggies are $3 all night long.
On Thursday, October 3, CSU will honor alumni with the Distinguished Alumni Awards, taking place at 5:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center. The event will recognize alumni who have made contributions to the University as well as the Northern Colorado community.
The Homecoming Parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4. It will start at Canvas Stadium, travel through the Oval, and end on Laurel Street. The end of the parade will serve as a pep rally for the football game.
The big game will be at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Canvas Stadium. Show up on the west lawn a few hours early to tailgate, and then get ready to root for the Rams as they face off against San Diego State.
Homecoming weekend will end on Sunday, October 6 with a celebration at the Horse and Dragon Brewing Company. Titled Sunday Fun Day, the event starts at 3 p.m. and serves as a time to "continue the celebration of being a Ram."
