Yesterday, Newtown, Connecticut was struck hard with tragedy as a gunman murdered the innocent lives of 20 elementary school children and 8 adults including his own. President Obama has expressed his obvious emotions in yesterdays address and today he shared some more personal thoughts in is radio address.

The killer was identified as 20-year-old Adam Lanza who shot himself of the school hallways yesterday after shooting up two first grade classrooms. Lanza was found dead with two pistols in his possession with a .223-caliber rifle in his vehicle in the school parking lot.

Found dead was teacher Victoria Soto, which sources say was protecting her students and even hid some in the bathroom, "He wanted to shoot more people, the source said. But seeing no one but Soto, he shot her, then left the room."

Also found dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School was 47-year-old Principal Dawn Hochsprung. "She died protecting the children that she adored so much. It's just incredibly shocking.''

Families of the deceased have been notified, however the names of those will not be released until the medical examiners office has completed some work.
