Poudre Fire Authority has been keeping Fort Collins safe for 135 years. They celebrate with the Fort Collins community at a joined event with the Open Streets. Firefighters held their Fire Festival today, right next to and at the same time as the Open Streets event in Ft. Collins. Their 135th Celebrator Anniversary Event benefited their Firefighter Community Compassion Fund and the Fire and Life Safety Education Fund and they had so much doing it.

They brought out fire trucks both new and vintage, they had a dunk tank that you could dunk a firefighter in full gear, and they even had bag pipers. Most notably though they had the American Flag flying high on the ladder of a truck and it was so gigantic it was hard to miss. They definitely brought the crowds too, with tours of all the trucks, prizes in a duck pond, and taught fire safety and hands only CPR.

It was great to see such a big crowd around their event all day as well! The Ft. Collins community loves them as much as the Poudre Fire Authority loves that community and surrounding areas and keeping them safe! To help them celebrate this great mile stone

, you can still donate to both their funds at http://www.nocofoundation.org/. You can also thank them and show support for them by getting them Teddy Bears to help comfort the children they come across in the tragedy's they face with our very own Teddy Bear Patrol!
