Phase Two of Construction Begins on Timnath Community Park

Timnath Community Park is about to get an upgrade.

ECI Site Construction Management (ECI), the local company in charge of building the park, has entered phase two of construction on the area.

According to a press release from ECI, this phase will feature a "more natural" style of playground, an open playing field, extra parking, a dog park, and a custom restroom building.

The entire second addition will take up 12 acres and is expected to be completed by summer of 2020.

The new section comes four years after phase one of Timnath Community Park, which was established at 5500 Summerfields Parkway in 2016.

The original area contains a playground, a picnic shelter, a plaza, an open space, and  a restroom structure.

The park has become popular for local events, concerts and community gatherings. The rapid growth of Timnath in recent years is what inspired the town to add a second section to the park.

It sounds like Timnath Community Park will be the perfect hangout spot next summer.
