‘Pacific Rim’ Robots + Monsters + Charlie Day = Awesomeness

If you are like me, you probably saw the first trailer for 'Pacific Rim' and said, "Seriously??"

I was not impressed by the first trailer. It made it look horrible. Then they released another trailer that made it seem kind of like it would be a fun movie and then the final one I saw made it seem like it was more than just monsters and robots. I was interested.

Now, this movie by no means is a masterpiece but for what it is, it is awesome. It is a movie with huge special effects, awesome characters and sets and a story that is written well enough to keep the movie going. That isn't a dig at the movie because with a big special effect action monster movie, the story is normally pretty dumb and kind of hinders the rest of the movie. The story in this did its job and kept it going. Plus this movie has Charlie Day which is a bonus.

If you are into just a fun and visually awesome action/scifi movie then you will love this. If the over the top isn't for you? Maybe avoid it.

For what it is I give it 4 out of 5 "handshakes".
