OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder to Open BBQ Joint in Denver

If you love barbecue, you have something in common with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder. He has agreed to become the first franchisee of Southern Hospitality BBQ and he plans to open ten barbecue restaurants, including one in Denver.

Southern Hospitality is a Memphis-style barbecue restaurant and bar based in New York City and already has a second location in the famous Hell's Kitchen.

"I have been involved with Southern Hospitality BBQ in New York for some time, and I’m looking forward to taking this relationship to the next level," Tedder said. [Rolling Stone]

Tedder has some ties to Colorado, as he met one of his bandmates on the soccer team at a Colorado Springs Christian School. As far as the BBQ is concerned, Tedder intends to bring the restaurant chain to Denver, Nashville, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Phoenix, Palo Alto and Washington, D.C.
