Northern Colorado Drug Trafficking Organization Dismantled

Six individuals were booked into the Larimer County Jail on June 16, following an investigation into a drug trafficking organization that was operating out of Northern Colorado. 

The Northern Colorado Drug Task Force launched an investigation called Operation La Familia in the fall of 2019. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, several career criminals were the focus of this investigation. These individuals also had histories of distributing illegal narcotics.

On Tuesday, June 16, the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force and several of their partner agencies executed multiple search warrants as part of Operation La Familia. These warrants were carried out throughout Fort Collins in the 2200 block of Sunleaf Court, the 3300 block of Laredo Lane, the 1700 block of Heatheridge Road and in the 2700 block of Leisure Drive. In addition, another search warrant took place in the 4100 block of Crittenton Lane in Wellington.

During the search warrants, law enforcement seized methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl pills, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, counterfeit currency, handguns, cash, a stolen SKS semi-automatic rifle, a firearm missing a serial number, and narcotics distribution equipment.

The investigation into this case is ongoing and additional suspects are expected to be arrested. As of now, the following suspects have been taken into custody.

Anna Giron of Fort Collins was arrested for the following warrants: Special Offender Controlled Substance, 6 counts Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substance, Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA), Money Laundering, and Habitual Criminal. Her bond is $150,000.

Kimberly Martinez of Fort Collins was arrested for the following warrants: Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substance and Habitual Criminal. Her bond is $3,500.

Shawn Palato, a transient of Fort Collins, was arrested for the following warrants: COCCA, Habitual Criminal, 2 counts Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance, and Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substance. Palato's bond is $50,000.

Daniel Saighman of Fort Collins was arrested with a warrant of Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substance. His bond was $3,500 and he has since been released from custody.

Antonio Andrew Giron of Fort Collins was arrested for the warrants of DUI and Driving Under Restraint. His total bond was $200 and he has also since been released from custody.

Antonio Jose Giron of Fort Collins was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was $175 and he was released yesterday.
