No Verdict Returned in Gilmore Trial
Jurors in the trial of the man accused of starting the Penny Flats fire in downtown Fort Collins last year did not return a verdict Wednesday. The jury of six men and six women received the case Tuesday afternoon. Deliberations are scheduled to continue this morning. Ben Gilmore faces seven felony counts, including arson and attempted murder, stemming from the fire that caused $10 million in damage and displaced about two dozen Penny Flats residents.
