This weekend I decided to play a little Netflix roulette where I cycle through my instant cue and stop randomly and the movie I landed on was this weird little gem, 'Night Train.' I thought it sounded good and it starred Danny Glover, Steve Zahn and Leelee Sobieski, so my hopes were lifted right there. But, this was a strange let down.

The premise of the movie is that these people are on a night train going to somewhere when they make a stop and a strange man gets on. The man dies suddenly on the train and they find out he has a box of diamonds so they decide to dispose of him and split them among themselves. The plot thickens when they start to turn on each other. That is all I am going to say, just in case you want to see it.

This movie had a lot of problems including the acting that seemed forced and not natural, the story taking a weird twist, among other things. But, my biggest problem with the film was the fact that it was made in 2009 but it felt like an early 90's movie. The CGI was horrid, and the way it was filmed just made it seem very hokey.

Over all this film is an "eh" and I guess if you are really bored and like any of the actors in it you can check it out.

I give it 2 out of 5 boxes full of "diamonds"

'Night Train' is rated Rated R for violent content and some language.
