As a Dunkin’ Donuts owner/operator of the 1970s and '80s, it was always time to make the doughnuts to keep the cases freshly filled.
Fast forward to the openings of today’s new and remodeled Dunkin’ stores in Colorado, and you see shops for the next generation.

Dunkin’, which dropped “Donuts” from its name in 2019, started testing out these “NextGen” concepts in 2018, including with its then-new Colorado Springs stores.
The remodels, Dunkin’ shared, offer “guests a more modern design with premium beverages, creating an elevated in-restaurant and drive-thru experience.”

The name change and the new-model stores focus on changing the iconic doughnut shop into a beverage-forward, on-the-go brand.

Here’s how that’s coming to life, as seen in the recent re-opening of the Dunkin’ on College Avenue in Fort Collins.
Loveland’s location is transforming now.
And no, most locations don’t make ’em in-store like they used to. They do frost and fill (finish, as we say) the doughnuts locally.
