Seems you blink for a second, and things change in Downtown Loveland. This latest change spreads out the 'libation stations' on 4th Street. And more.

Wow. Honestly, my head is spinning. This new bar on the east side of 4th Street is just PART of the story. I had to get caught up on it. Let me see if I can explain it all.

The Boar and Bull, the odd but cool, butcher shop that was at the east end of 4th, got new ownership in early 2018. I guess I had never noticed that they became Piggin' Out Saloon: BBQ, beers...that kind of fun.

OK. So, now, the Reporter-Herald informs me that Piggin' Out has been replaced. This is crazy, I LIVE in Downtown. I should really spend some time there, right? Anyway, Piggin' Out is now East End Alehouse. It seems like a full-on bar: pool tables, darts, TVs, 16 beers on tap. Sounds great. The east of 4th Street needs a place like this, to liven it up. Piggin' Out has been using the kitchen there, still, and serving food out front of the place.

Now, it turns out that Piggin' Out is going to be taking over The Farmstead on South Lincoln - just a bit south of Sonic, as well, to open a beer garden along with their BBQ. The Farmstead never really took off as a gallery/event center like the previous owners had hoped.

On Facebook, Piggin' Out was spreading the news in March:

Our big changes at Piggin' Out are coming to fruition! We are moving forward with opening a beer garden and food truck just south of Downtown at The Farmstead, 1015 South Lincoln. We are targeting mid-April so stay tuned!

The Boar and Bull is still doing butchery. They just take orders online now. Then, I guess they'll deliver it East End Alehouse?

Good luck to ALL these businesses, keeping me on my toes!
