For some reason we see too many news stories about kids doing bad things, how about a story that focuses on the good?  A bunch of middle school football players did something great behind their coaches back, the Olivet Eagles spent weeks planning to not score a touchdown, so a special needs teammate go in the end zone.

I found details about this story comes from CBS Evening News' YouTube Channel and WILX, the boy they got the touchdown for is a special needs boy that has issues with boundaries and likes to hug all the time, but he has endeared himself to his teammates at  Olivet Middle School in Olivet, Michigan.

His name is Keith Orr and his team spent weeks planning a special day for him, and they did it all without their coaches knowing about it. When one of the Eagles stopped short of the goal line during the game you can even hear crowd booing. No one but the boys on the team knew what was happening, but when it did, the entire stadium erupted in well-deserved cheers.

Here's what his mom told WILX:

Yes I'm excited and happy that he made a touchdown, but what have these boys showed this community? That's what gets to me...Not that my kid made a touchdown, but that these kids planned it and they wanted him to have a touchdown. They've been planning it and they made it happen for him.

Yup, this wasn't for publicity, this wasn't because a teacher or coach told them to, this was because this group of young men wanted to show their teammate how much they cared about him.

MVP awards all around!
