Man Shoots Squirrels, Says They Were Invading- Say “What!?”

I have met some people that have been annoyed with squirrels and I have seen people put the sheet metal on the trees to keep the squirrels away, but this guy didn't like them at all.  Richard Baird, from New Jersey, didn't like that squirrels were entering his home through a hole and when patching that didn't work he decided to put peanut butter on a tree as bait and pull out his BB gun. He was taking them out one by one and apparently hung the carcasses on the fence. I am assuming he did that as a warning to the other squirrels but it didn't really work. A neighbor called authorities with an animal cruelty complaint.  He was arrested with animal cruelty charge and if convicted, he could face up to $1,000 fine, serve community service at an animal shelter and a possible six months in jail.

There has got to be a better solution. Isn't that what animal control is for?
