Man Pays to Swallow Human Toe

"You can drink it fast, you can drink it slow — but the lips have gotta touch the toe." That is the rule of the drink.

It's called the sourtoe cocktail and it is a drink that features a human toe in the glass. A man in the Yukon bought the shot and intentionally swallowed the toe. Why? Because he couldn't resist it. When you take the shot you are only supposed to touch the toe with your lips, but he swallowed it and paid $500 to do so.

The hotel that serves the drink has now upped the fine for eating the toe to $2,500 to discourage people from eating it.

The Sourtoe Cocktail, originated in 1973 after someone found a toe believed to have been attached to a fella who transported rum. While the protocol for drinking the Sourtoe Cocktail has changed over the years.
