I know a lot of guys do things that get them in trouble with their girlfriends. Disappearing for two weeks would definitely fall n that category, but this Brooklyn man decided to fake his own kidnapping instead of confessing where he was to his lady.

According to Metro, the 36-year-old went missing for two weeks, but told police he had been beaten up and abducted by two strangers. He said hey held him for the two weeks and then tossed him in the street, bound with duct tape, where he was found by a pedestrian.

But when police started asking him about pesky little things, like details, or why he still had a roll of duct tape hanging from his wrist, his story quickly turned into a tall-tale. One of the officers that questioned him had this to say:

He’s a total moron…It was a pathetic attempt to pull the wool [over] her eyes.

I’m guessing he’ll face some charges for false reporting, and now he has to fess up to his disappearance and for lying through his teeth, I’m thinking his girlfriend might be a little more upset than if he’d just told her in the first place.
