The Arcadia Hotel building, on the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown has been put up for sale, and the man selling it warns that his recommendation is to demolish it. According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald,

The real estate broker who is marketing a historic downtown building told the Loveland Historic Preservation Commission on Monday that the structure "is extremely tired" and "needs to go away.

You can read more details about the sale from the Reporter-Herald, but basically the broker says that the building is too expensive to fix. From what I've seen of the building, I think I agree with him. Anyone who's driven through Loveland has seen this old thing and, to me at least, it doesn't look 'historical', it just looks run down.

But I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that have many fond memories there and some that would hate to see it torn down.

What do you think?

This building was "the first structure in Loveland specifically intended for large public gatherings." Do you have any fond memories from 140 E. 4th Street?
