Loveland Liquor Store Sells Winning $100,000 Scratch Ticket
It seems like just the other day that a liquor store in Estes Park had a $500,000 Powerball ticket winner, now Loveland has a lucky winner, too.
I believe that I'll have to start getting my weekly 'Friday fix' bottle of Dr. Pepper/Cream Sode from liquor stores. There's definitely something going on, around here.
The Colorado Lottery posted on Twitter that Countryside Liquor in Loveland, off of 37th Street and Lincoln Avenue, had sold a 'Magnificent Millions' $20 scratch ticket that turned out to be a $100,000 winner.
Having grown up in Loveland, I know this particular location well. It used to be home to Dry Creek Liquor. Back in the day, I used to stop in for beer while on my way to my brother's when he lived in the apartments to the east of there.
I cannot ever remember buying a winning lottery ticket there, however.
I'll say it again: This is why I play- because people really do win. My ritual: $5 on Tuesdays and Fridays; I get a quick-pick for MegaMillions (with the bonus) and a quick-pick for the Colorado Lottery+ (without the bonus.) You never know, right.
Just ask the person who just scratched off $100,000.
