One of the most exhilarating hikes in all of Colorado is the hike that many professionals take to the top of Longs Peak. It can also be one of the scariest.

I've always looked at Long's Peak on my commute to work, and always wondered what the views would be like if I made it to the top of the mountain. However, I am far from being a professional hiker, so I watch the Youtube videos instead of other people taking it all in.

However, watching these videos can sometimes be just as scary as doing it yourself.

Why? Because imagine yourself looking over these ledges and not seeing anything but a shear drop to the bottom.

Or even looking out into the distance and being able to see a hundred miles in front of you.

Either way, you have to watch these videos to feel the full effect. It will either make you want more, or get the fill that you were craving.

(Imagine yourself looking over those ledges as shown in the video above? WOW.)

(I'd honestly probably wouldn't be able to get myself down looking at these views)

(This video definitely shows the shear dropoff that occurs when rock climbing to the top)
