Little Ryan, Who Inspired Ice Cream Parties, Passed Away

If you remember a few weeks ago I posted about a 2-year-old little boy who was born with down syndrome and a heart defect and wasn't expected to live past his toddler years and his mom wanted everyone to go home and give their children ice cream for dinner just to make them smile. A Facebook page was even created encouraging everyone to have a ice cream sundae in honor of little Ryan. I am sad to say that little Ryan has passed away.His mother wrote on Facebook;

At approximately 12:10 while I held Ryan in my arms and daddy held him as well – surrounded by so many who loved him Ryan drew his last breath. He is without oxygen, medicine, tubes, wires, and HURT – he is at peace.”

My heart goes out to the family. They didn't expect him to go so soon; they thought he had a couple more weeks to live. "Last Sunday, I was lying out on the grass with him. The next Sunday, he was gone."
