Some of the best memories for those from a small town come either from the fair or community days. Two Northern Colorado towns celebrate their community days this weekend. Both Eaton and LaSalle have festivities going on Friday through Sunday.

Eaton is celebrating their 120th anniversary with the three day event this weekend. They expect over 3,000 people to attend the many great activities they have planned including a sidewalk chalk art contest, street dance, parade, car show, pet contest, barbecue, arts and crafts fair, petting zoo, family fun night, fireworks and worship service. LaSalle’s three day event is a little more low key than that of Eaton, but it is still LaSalle’s biggest community event. The three day festival usually draws about 1,500 people for activities like the Boy Scout pancake breakfast, the railroad fun run, mud volleyball, the street dance, and fireworks display. The event begins Friday, with a 5:30 p.m. showing of “Journey to the Center of the Earth Part 2,” and a horseshoe tournament at the Main Park. The weekend wraps up with a coed softball tournament and worship in the park on Sunday. Click here for the full schedule of events and more info on LaSalle Days!
