Larimer County COVID-19 Cases Rising, 48 New Cases Sunday
COVID-19 cases in Larimer County continue to rise.
It was just last week that Larimer County reached a cumulative total of 2,984 COVID-19 positive cases after 44 new cases were reported within the county on Oct. 11.
The Loveland Reporter-Herald said that 48 new confirmed coronavirus cases were added to the county's cumulative total on Sunday (Oct. 18).
The new cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Larimer County is now 3,365.
Among the new confirmed cases, 29 cases were found in Fort Collins, and ten were found in Loveland. The remaining cases are spread across Estes Park, Berthoud, Wellington, Windsor, Bellvue and Timnath. There is also a confirmed case that wasn't linked to a particular area.
The youngest case is an 11-year-old Loveland girl, and the oldest case is an 83-year-old Fort Collins man.
The amount of deaths in the county has fortunately held steady at 54, and the number of outbreaks remained at 63.
Larimer County was considered a medium-risk area on Sunday (Oct. 18), although the risk dial showed the county was very close to being at high-risk, due to the rate of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in the county. The current rate stands at 174 cases per 100,000 county residents.
