In 2020, Johnstown BBQ Day was canceled due to the COVID-19 virus. We are happy to hear that the Johnstown BBQ Day will be back for 2021. Although many details are not available just yet, we do know the residents of Johnstown will be happy to carry on the tradition of BBQ Day.

Soon, the Johnstown BBQ Day committee will be revealing the details about the new plan for the festivities. The date for Johnstown BBQ Day will be on June 5, 2021. The Johnstown BBQ Day includes a parade, BBQ, and closes out with fireworks.

Johnstown BBQ Day has been a community tradition in Northern Colorado since 1902.

BBQ Day has been a historic event in Johnstown for decades. Event organizers have traced the origins of the annual event to 1912 when it was "Dairy Day" to promote the local dairy industry.

Johnstown was formed in 1902 and incorporated as a town in 1907. The latest census estimate puts the population of Johnstown at about 15,000.
