The NFL draft is officially over. Many student-athletes from across the country, including Colorado, had their dreams come true. Some had their dreams shattered. Some were shocked at where they landed.

A total of ten student-athletes from the University of Colorado and Colorado State University have recently signed with NFL teams. Half of the football players were drafted.

Controversy Surrounding Boulder Star

One of the biggest conversations held over the NFL draft was Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders had one of the biggest draft falls in NFL history. The Colorado quarterback was expected to be a top-five pick.

He fell to the fifth round to the Cleveland Browns.

While watching the events unfold, I was shocked to see Shedeur Sanders drop that low. I was incredibly surprised to see him left out of the first round, I was dumbfounded that he was available for that long.

Sanders' Prank Call Goes Viral

A prank call has been going viral surrounding his draft experience.

The Falcons defensive coordinator's son got a hold of Sanders' personal draft cell phone number.

21-year-old Jax Ulbrich made the prank call and the NFL is investigating the matter.

Excitement for Colorado State Star

I am especially excited for Colorado State star Tory Horton. The wide receiver, who will be the last to wear a #14 jersey, was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks.
