2 Week Closure: Make Sure To Avoid This Road in Fort Collins
The City of Fort Collins will begin an asphalt overlay project on South Timberline Road on Monday, July 10th. The project will affect traffic in the area, so you should be prepared for delays.

The road closure is expected to last two weeks and will require the closure of South Timberline Road between Harmony Road and Battlecreek Drive/Stetson Creek Drive.
Detours will be in place for local residents and businesses.
A LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE
The asphalt overlay is part of the City's Street Maintenance Program and is the first of three major asphalt paving projects on Timberline in 2023.
The first project will overlay the asphalt on South Timberline Road between Harmony Road and Battlecreek Drive/Stetson Creek Drive.
The second project will overlay the asphalt on a section of Timberline between Trilby and Carpenter roads.
The third project is an ongoing widening project on Timberline between Stetson Creek and Trilby Road. Once all three projects are complete, Timberline Road will have a new asphalt surface from Harmony Road to Carpenter Road.
South Timberline Road will eventually have a new, smooth asphalt surface.

This will improve safety and reduce maintenance costs.
IF YOU TYPICALLY COMMUTE ON SOUTH TIMBERLINE ROAD
Drivers should plan ahead and allow extra travel time if they need to use South Timberline Road during the construction period.
Use Waze or Google Maps to plan your route and avoid traffic. I typically use Waze because it provides real-time traffic information. My favorite thing about the Waze app is that is constantly searching for the quickest route.
