It's one of the best days of the year...free cone day at Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop in Old Town Fort Collins!

Yup, if you head down there before 8p.m. today you can get yourself a free cone. Why are they giving away free ice cream?

As a way to thank our customers for their support and to celebrate 34 years of scooping the chunkiest, funkiest ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet, Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops are happily giving it away!

This is the 16th year of the free scoop day at the old town square shop. Every year they choose a charity to collect donations for on free cone day. (A great way to give back to the community, if I do say so myself.)

Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic was chosen as this year's charity for the 16th annual Free Cone Day on April 3 at Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop in Old Town Square. All tips and donations collected during the event will benefit FCCRSNC.

16th Annual Free Cone Day! Noon-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3

The League of Women Voters of Larimer County will be on hand to register new voters and you can hear live music from local band 'Daddy Rab' on the Old Town Square Stage.

Sounds like a win-win situation for everyone invloved. Free ice cream and live music all for a good cause.

Don't let the cool weather keep you away...it's never too cold for ice cream. Especially free ice cream!
