Here’s the cheapest Gas in Colorado For Labor Day Travels, You’re Welcome
We're heading into the long weekend, which means a lot of us will also be heading out of town, even with these gas prices. So where can you get the most bang for your buck (or, get the most mileage with the smallest receipt)?
According to AAA, the average cost of fuel in Colorado just ahead of Labor Day weekend is $3.62 per gallon, which is one of the highest averages in the country (California, Hawaii and Nevada have us beat). Colorado is also slightly over the national average of $3.17 per gallon so, that's a long way of saying that the gas prices here suck, and traveling is going to be pricey.

If you're headed east for Labor Day, that's the only part of Colorado that has gas for under $3 per gallon, in Lamar. If you're fueling up before you leave Fort Collins, the Valero on Riverside Ave. has the lowest gas price at $3.24 per gallon, followed by the Murphy Express by Wal-Mart on Weitzel St. in Timnath. If you're a Costco member, you can also fill up in Timnath for $3.33 per gallon.
In Loveland, the least-expensive pumps are at Murphy Express on W. 64th Street, the 7-Eleven on N. Garfield Ave. and the U Pump It on E. Esienhower Blvd. In the Greeley area, the Sinclair in Evans is at $3.20 per gallon, and the Sinclair in Greeley on 18th Street is at $3.38.
