Hedley’s Acoustic Performance Of ‘Kiss you Inside Out’ From The Point Studios [Video & AUDIO]

If you haven't heard of the band Hedley yet, you'll probably hear a lot about them in the near future. The band's front man made it to the top three of Canadian Idol back in 2004, the the band has since won 9 Juno awards and put together four studio albums.

Fresh off of their selection as the "About To Pop Artist" on the Pop Crush Top 20, two of the guys from the band stopped by the Point studios yesterday to chat with myself and Derek and they gave us a fantastic performance of their new single, "Kiss You Inside Out".

Jacob Hoggard and Dave Rosin, half of the band made it to our studio on an overcast afternoon and were probably two of the most entertaining musicians we've ever had come through our doors. Passionate, energetic, witty, talented, and fun-loving are all adjective that scratch the surface of what these guys are all about.

You can read on to hear about jumping in the Royal Fountain, about Hoggard's rise to fame on Canadian Idol, Twitter, and how they completely remade a Duran Duran video. But first, check out the guys performing "Kiss You Inside Out" in our studio. (And no Hoggard isn't texting while he's performing, he has a really cool app on his phone that he is using to play parts of the song. Ain't technology great?!)

I'll give you one word that describes that. (Hint: It starts with "A" and ends in "Wesome".)

On top of putting on a great performance, these guys were a riot to talk to. Hoggard gained significant notoriety after he reached the final three on Canadian Idol. Hear what he had to say about what the show did for him.

The band has also had their fair share of shenanigans. For example; they were recently in England and playing for Canada's Olympians and Hoggard took a dip in a Royal Fountain. That is, apparentl,y not a good idea.

Hedley has embraced (and harnessed) the power of the social media world. They are constantly on their Twitter accounts and love connecting with fans and having a direct line to people that love their music.

To top that off they also do lots of fan contests and encourage people to create covers and lip-synch videos with their music. Check out this latest fan video they made for "Kiss You Inside Out."

Now, for your viewing enjoyment, the official video for "Kiss You Inside Out." The guys got to crash a couple of brand new cars in the making of it.  (Yesterday Hoggard was actually wearing the pants that he had torn up in the video's car crash scene.)

The band has a slew of great music videos, but Derek asked them which one was their favorite to make.

The song  video they are talking about is for 'Never Too Late', and sure enough, it is spot on as a remake of Duran Duran's "Rio". Epic.
