Greeley's Farmer's Market has seriously gotten awesome! I grew up going to the Farmer's Market in Greeley during the summers. I never even knew that other cities had Farmer's Market's, just Greeley and I loved it. I stopped by their website to check out all that they still had going on and I was blown away by how fantastic it has become.

The Farmer's Market in Greeley has marked it's 23rd year this year and they must have their own marketing team or something because this event (which is every Saturday and sometimes Wednesday's) isn't just fruit and veggies in boxes. They have a ton going on and are way ahead of its time in advancement as far as farmer's market's go.

What first shocked me was how much they had going on. I scrolled down quite a bit through all the vendors and as I did I thought to myself, "Ya this is much bigger than I remember when I went as a kid." I remember vendors with a very, very basic set up with fruit and veggies in boxes, but I also remember those fruit and veggies tasting sooooo good! I can't even tell you, if you haven't had fresh fruit or veggies from a garden or a farmer's market how let alone good they are for you, but how much better they taste.

The vendors have a wide range of types as well. There's of course the produce vendors, but they have added vendors that sell BBQ sauce and spices, meat, cheese, jellies, jams, pickled goods, salsa and hot sauce, cinnamon rolls and other pastries. They even have a very authentic, affordable French pastry vendor that's located in Denver that comes up just for Greeley's Farmer's Market. (My heart melted when I saw this vendor!) They have vendors that do art's and crafts. That sell handcrafted kitchen items, pottery, natural personal care products, and...sign...flowers. :)

Greeley's 23rd Farmer's Market also has gotten advanced with technology. You can sign up at their website to be a FarmFan. What this entitles is a loyal program with rewards for being a repetitive shopper and text messages an hour before the event to let you know the selection of fresh produce they will be featuring that morning. The FarmFan program also alert's to if for any reason, usually bad weather, the event is canceled for that Saturday morning before you hit the pavement and shop. They even have a Growing Kids Program with activities for kids. Each participant even gets $2 buying power to teach kids about the program and good produce as well.

You still have plenty of time to catch out how awesome this event is, as it goes til Halloween and you know what that means...PUMPKIN!!!!! This crisp, fall like weather has made me start to crave anything that is the glorious flavor of pumpkin. It is definitely one of my favorite things to do Saturday mornings. The dates and times again are Saturday from now til October 31st 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The address in Greeley is 902 7th Avenue.
