Greeley Man Accidentally Shoots Himself During Fight With Girlfriend

Boyfriends and girlfriends get in fights sometimes, but a Greeley man who was in a fight with his girlfriend ended up at North Colorado Medical Center after accidentally shooting himself during the skirmish.

According to the Greeley Tribune, the 31-year-old showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound and told police he had been in a struggle to get the gun back from someone when it went off. He also gave them a fake name.

Once police did a little digging they found out our guy's real name, found out he had not one, but several active warrants for his arrest, and he had accidentally shot himself at his own apartment while fighting with his girlfriend.

Don't guns have a safety switch to prevent things like this from happening?
