The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission invites the public to a tree tour of Glenmere Park on Monday, June 12th at 6:30 p.m.  City Forestry Manager Shiloh Hatcher will lead the tour of unique trees that can be planted in Greeley, beginning at the playground at the west end of Glenmere Park, along 17th Avenue.

No reservations are required.  The tour is free and open to the public.  Wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle.

  • June 12 - Glenmere Park Tree Tour, led by Shiloh Hatcher. Starting location: Playground on west end of Glenmere Park, 17th Avenue, 6:30 p.m.
  • June 19 - Historic Churches and Masonic Temple, led by Alison Connell.  Starting location: St. Patrick Presbyterian Church, 803 10th Avenue, 6:30 p.m.
  • July 10 - Houston Gardens, led by Paul Conklin.  Starting location: Houston House at Houston Gardens, 515 23rd Avenue, 7:00 p.m.
  • July 24 - Greeley Between WWI and the Stock Market Crash: a pre-Chautauqua event, led by Peggy Ford Waldo and Betsy Kellums. Starting location: Greeley History Museum, 714 8th Street, 6:30 p.m.
  • August 7 - Cottonwood Neighborhood, led by Betsy Kellums.  Starting location: NW corner of Cottonwood Park, 26th Avenue and 26th Avenue Court, 6:30 p.m.
  • August 14 - Missile Site Park, led by Ruben Montiel. Location:10611 Spur Highway 257, starting at 11:30 a.m.  Reservations required.  Limited to 15 people.
  • September 11- Bilingual Downtown Tour, led by Betsy Kellums and Maribel Talamantes.  Starting location: Lincoln Park Gazebo, noon.
