Eating for a good cause — it's where we really excel. This year, Great Plates, which ran March 1- March 14,  brought in a record amount of money for the Food Bank for Larimer County.

According to a press release, Great Plates 2019 raised $111,777.58 for the food bank, which is more than it has in years' past.

'The Downtown Business Association, the Food Bank for Larimer County, the Eye Center for Northern Colorado and the 35 participating downtown Fort Collins restaurants are thrilled to announce the donation total for 2019’s Great Plates... raised $111,777.58 for the Food Bank for Larimer County,' the press release stated.

In Great Plates' inaugural run in 2008, the fundraiser hit $7,360, and has steadily increased every year, reaching over $100,000 in 2017 and hitting $106,000 in 2018.

'This year’s top 5 performing restaurants included Social, Melting Pot, RARE Italian, CooperSmith’s, and Rodizio Grill, ' Food Bank for Larimer County said.

Congrats to the Food Bank for Larimer County (and kudos to the participating restaurants and those of us who ate for the cause, we're happy to do it again).
