Let me start off with this review by saying, I had no clue what movie I was going into. I totally thought I got tickets for 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' because I forgot what that was called so I assumed it was the same movie. That was until I saw the movie poster outside of the theater entrance and realized that Chris Rock was not in it.  I didn't remember ever seeing a trailer for this so I had no idea what I was about to see. It started off a little weird and when I actually noticed who was staring in it, I thought maybe it was going to be like 'Bridesmaids 2' since it starred Kristen Wiig, John Hamm, Maya Rudolph and Chris O' Dowd who were all in 'Bridesmaids'. It wasn't even close.  It is about two really close friend who decided to have a kid because all of their friends did and they want one before they get too old.  They have a kid with each other while keeping their relationship platonic so they can keep dating and live in a perfect world. You can only imagine the problems that occur.

I would consider this film a Dramedy for the simple fact that while there was humor, it had a serious and realistic story. It was easy to feel for the characters and relate to them and the situations that were happening.  It was a believable story that was based in the real world.

If you were a fan of 'Garden State' or movies along those lines or, if you love any of the actors in the movie, then I recommend it. Kristen Wiig actually played a serious role which was surprisingly believable and even Megan Fox's acting was decent.

'Friends With Kids' stars Adam Scott, Jennifer Westfeldt, Kristen Wigg, John Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Chris O' Dowd and Megan Fox and is Rated R for sexual content and language.
