Fort Collins — What Are You Doing to Help the City Win the Water Conservation Competition?
A better question may be did you know that the city was in a competition? There is a national campaign that the Mayor has asked the city to join. What can you do to help the city win the water conservation competition?
The challenge is a friendly competition between cities across the United States. It's a hardy competition to see who can be the most 'water-wise' across the nation.
Residents are encouraged to see how they can save water, energy and other natural resources through an on-line pledge throughout the month of April.
Cities with the highest participants to take the on-line challenge in each of the population categories will win. Up for grabs are hundreds of prizes to benefit the city and individual residents. More than 50-thousand dollars in prizes were awarded last year to over a thousand residents.
Getting involved is pretty easy. You start by taking the on-line pledge, pledging how much you personally can save.
