Colorado Woman Wins 2nd Annual Big Burger Battle in Sturgis
Weber Grills has crowned Terry Holman from Thornton, Colorado as the 2015 Big Burger Battle champion at the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The competition was inspired by Weber’s popular 2014 cookbook "Weber’s Big Book of Burgers".
Weber staged five semi-final events at Harley-Davidson dealerships across the country, including Wichita, KS; Oconomowoc, WI; Pacific Junction, IA; Kirkwood, MO and Denver, CO to determine who could create the tastiest burger in 30 minutes or less. Winners of each local competition earned an all-expenses-paid trip to Sturgis and a new Q1200 grill from Weber.
During the finals, held August 3 at the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the five semi-finalists recreated their original burger recipes and were judged based on taste, originality and presentation.
