Construction began on Fort Collins' newest community park in 2016, and it's on track to be finished by Fall of this year. Set on 54-acres of land in Southeast Fort Collins, the City is calling Twin Silo Park "a park like no other." Once completed, the property, which is located at the intersection of Kechter and Ziegler roads, will include trails, a playground, multi-purpose fields, and a BMX track. The existing wetlands area is going to be extended, in addition to adding a sandbar and creekside deck for park-goers to get their feet wet. Other unique features will be creative play areas, gardens, an orchard, and two silos that are being relocated from Timberline and Prospect. The silos are meant to emphasize the park's farm theme and provide a unique play structure for visitors. The space is going to be ideal setting for wedding parties and community gatherings.
