Fort Collins to Close All City Offices on Memorial Day
In recognition of the Memorial Day holiday, the City of Fort Collins will close all City offices on Monday (May 31).
According to a press release from the City of Fort Collins, all Transfort services and centers will also be shut down, along with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and all local libraries.
The closures will not affect essential services such as fire, police and utilities.
The Gardens on Spring Creek, the Senior Center, Edora Pool and Ice Center and Foothills Activity Center will remain open and operate under regular hours. Residents will be able to visit City Park Pool from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., but no other recreational facilities will be open.
Despite these changes, residents can enjoy plenty of Fort Collins events over the holiday weekend.
Realities for Children is holding its 20th Annual Realities Ride and Rally, which benefits Northern Colorado children who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk, on Sunday (May 30). The Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado is also hosting a weekend-long celebration in the Spring Canyon Community Park.
City offices will return to their normal hours on Tuesday (June 1).
