The City of Fort Collins and Off-Campus Life at CSU have a party registration system in place to help students avoid citations for complaints about a party.

They communicate directly with the party hosts about calls and complaints.

Party throwers are encouraged to register their party the Thursday before they throw the party.

According to a Fort Collins Police Facebook post, "if you register your fiesta and someone calls us to complain about noise issues, we'll call to let you know. Then you can voluntarily tell folks it's closing time and avoid a citation."

Since 2009, there have been over 4,000 registered parties.
