Fort Collins Median Home Prices Reach $600K in 2022
If you were hoping for home prices to decrease in Colorado, it appears you are going to be waiting for quite some time. Colorado's real estate market shows no signs of slowing down.
Home prices in Fort Collins have increased 23 percent compared to the same time last year and an 11 percent increase since the end of 2021 according to the Coloradoan.
At the end of 2021, the median home price in Fort Collins reached $540,000. Based on two months of data in 2022, the median price for a single-family home has increased by $60,000 to $600,000.
Eric Thompson, President of Windermere Real Estate in Fort Collins, told the Coloradoan "$600,000 plus prices in Fort Collins are absolutely here to stay". Thompson also states that with the current supply and demand, prices will continue to increase throughout the year.
Currently, there are only 77 residential properties for sale in Fort Collins. Out of those 77 properties, only 26 are priced below $600,000. The current median price of townhomes and condos in Fort Collins also continues to grow but at a much slower rate of six percent from the same time last year. The median price of townhomes and condos in Fort Collins in February was $362,905
