The Gardens on Spring Creek, which is the 18-acre botanic garden of Fort Collins, has received a donation of $100,000 from UCHealth to support Potager and Herb Gardens near the Outdoor Teaching Kitchen.

The Gardens is near the completion of the expansion and renovation of five acres of new gardens, visitor’s center and butterfly house.

UCHealth is a not-for-profit health care system which includes hospitals and facilities that are located throughout Colorado.

This is a great step toward helping people learn how to successfully grow fruits, vegetables, as well as herbs.

According the a press release from the The City of Fort Collins, the Gardens on Spring Creek operates as public-private partnership between the City of Fort Collins and the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek.

The grand re-opening of Gardens on Spring Creek should happen later in 2019.
