Congratulations are in order for Liberty Common High School's incoming senior class, whose students just posted the highest SAT scores in Colorado for the second year in a row.

The results were reported by the Colorado Department of Education.

The soon-to-be seniors at the Fort Collins charter school averaged a score of 1315. According to The Coloradoan, this year's number was only a few points lower than their record-breaking score from last year.

Liberty Common headmaster Bob Schaffer is proud of the test results, stating in a press release that "high SAT scores definitely open doors to great colleges for our students."

He credited the impressive outcome to the collaborative relationship between the school, the students, and their families.

The incoming seniors of D'Evelyn High School in Denver earned the second-highest average score with 1272.

Overall, Colorado students averaged a score of 1041 on the SAT. The scores for other Northern Colorado high schools can be found here.
