Fort Collins Bans Charcoal Grills and Fire Pits Under Fire Ban
Fort Collins has moved to a stage 2 fire restriction on August 31 according to a release from the City of Fort Collins. The move to a stage 2 fire ban comes after consultation with Poudre Fire Authority Fire Chief, Tom DeMint, and reviews of weather conditions, air quality, and numerous other factors.
The stage 2 fire ban includes wood-burning campfires, portable and built-in fire pits, and charcoal grills. Exemptions include gas fire pits and camp stoves, indoor fireplaces, and wood-burning stoves.
The fire ban order will be in effect until further notice.
