Fireworks Explode and Sink a Barge During a Colorado 4th of July Celebration

What happens when you have a faulty shell that explodes when its not supposed to? A firework celebration cut short.

The firework show at Grand Lake, Colorado was cut from 20 minutes to 12 minutes after one of the firework barges was damaged by a faulty shell and sank the barge in the lake. You can see by the end of the two videos that people were expecting more.

Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce says that the fireworks will be back September 20th!
