Fireworks, Drone Shows Part of May 15 Windsor FireDance Festival
The skies above Windsor's RainDance Community will be lit up with a drone light show and fireworks on Saturday, May 15.
The master-planned development with vacation-style living will be hosting the inaugural FireDance Festival event from noon to 11 p.m. at 2191 Covered Bridge Parkway. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
FireDance will include a watch-along party for the 7 p.m. Colorado Eagles AHL hockey game on a 30-foot LED screen. Outdoor concerts and entertainers will perform on a stage. A drone light show is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. and fireworks show will illuminate the sky at about 9:55 p.m.
New Country 99.1's Matt Sparx will pump up the crowd with a DJ set. Local performers Red Iron Push Band and the Eric Golden Band will play live music. Local street artists, face painting, inflatable hockey games and more will be part of the family fun.
"We think the start of summer and end of COVID deserve a fire-y celebration," said Martin Lind, RainDance developer and Colorado Eagles owner in a statement about the event
"It's uniquely extravagant, exciting and expensive. Eagles hickey, drone light show and food! No other developer would celebrate NoCo so wildly."
Concessions and alcohol will be available at the RainDance River Resort. The Grillhouse at Pelican Lakes barbecue and food trucks will also be available at the festival.
Attendees can win cash prizes by stepping into the "Ring of Fire" — 100 $250 Visa Cash gift cards will be given away at FireDance.
You can also win a free family season membership to the RainDance River Resort this summer by winning a three-legged race put on by Townsquare Media radio stations.
