The New York City firehouse featured in the 1984 movie 'Ghostbusters' may soon be shut down due to budget cuts, according to the NY Post.

Ladder No. 8 in TriBeCa is among 20 New York fire stations Mayor Mike Bloomberg has put on the chopping block.

In 'Ghostbusters,' Ladder No. 8 played the role of the retired firehouse where Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz and Egon Spengler set up their iconic paranormal investigating business.

While the real-life retiring of Ladder No. 8 might not be such a good thing for TriBeCa residents, it's impending availability provides an amazing opportunity for any up-and-coming paranormal investigators.

Yes, you could own the same headquarters as the Ghostbusters! I kind of hope that some eccentric millionaire buys the property and completely goes all in to make it look like it did in the movie.  Oh, how I would love to see Ecto-1 pulling out of that giant garage door again.
