You saw them all over Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #superbloodmoon or #bloodmoon... You might have even had a few friends send you a text with a pic. All you saw was a dark photo with an off white smudge, almost like you spilled milk on your screen, right? Chances are that if there was a photo taken of blood moon with a phone, they sucked. Sorry to break it to ya.

Being a hobbyist when it comes to photography, I had every intention last night of taking my good camera out and capturing the show, but... the Broncos game was on.  I was conflicted; see something that happens almost every Sunday in the fall or see something that happens only once every few decades. It's a very tough decision, right? There was some cloud cover when I went outside earlier and it was getting good right when the blood moon was suppose at full coverage. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I finally managed to pull myself away from the 20" tiny TV I was watching for a few minutes fetched my tripod, camera and started snapping a few photos,  this is the only one that came out worth anything.

The moon was cool to see, but I am probably not the only one that was more concerned with the Broncos game than a dirty looking moon! ;)
