Enjoy an At-Home Concert for a Good Cause on April 30
We may not be able to go to traditional concerts right now, but thanks to technology, we can still experience the music in our own homes.
Crossroads Safehouse will be hosting a virtual concert as part of its Couch Concert: Live in Your Living Room series from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday (April 30).
Brian Kittrell, of the local Fort Collins band Maxwell Mud, will be performing on the live stream, which can be accessed on Facebook here or here.
Listeners can even request songs in the comments.
The event will benefit Crossroads Safehouse, a center for abused adults and children, and the Voices Carry Child Advocacy Center, a non-profit that supports children and families who are victims of child abuse.
Donations can be made to either organization during the concert by texting the word 'couch' to 44321.
The event is also supporting the following local eateries that are offering takeout or delivery:
- Chick'nCone
- Simmer Fort Collins
- Rally5Craft Eats & Bar
- CopperMuse Distillery
- Hearth Restaurant & Pub
- Pizza Vino
It's the perfect way to support local non-profits, local restaurants, and local music — all from the comfort of your couch.
