Drunk High School Baseball Umpire Passes Out On Field, Fights Medics, Gets Tased and Arrested
Anyone who has a child in sports has probably had at least one run-in with a bad referee or umpire. But hopefully you didn't have to deal with one this bad!
An Illinois high school baseball umpire, that was drunk, passed out on the field during a game!
According to WQAD, the guy was "noticeably intoxicated" during the game and after he passed out, he started fighting with the medics that were trying to help him. Police had to tase him twice to get him under control and in custody.
Keep in mind this guy was umping a high school baseball game. He's facing some felony charges now, and I am assuming he shouldn't be allowed near a baseball game ever again. (Or a liquor store.)
Passing out on a baseball diamond in front of 40+ high school students and their parents...that's probably not the defining moment he wanted to be remembered by.
